On 12 April 1944 Edward enlisted with the United States Navy in Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania. He served as a Gunner Trainer. Edward was discharged from service on 18 June 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Edward married Anna Mary Phillips and the couple had four children. This snapshot was taken by his wife shortly after their honeymoon in 1951. Edward was twenty five years old in this snapshot.
Edward passed away on 24 June 1992. He is buried with his Selker ancestors at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Clarion, Clarion County, Pennsylvania.

Edward C. Selker, Jr. is my 1st cousin 2x removed. He is a first cousin to my maternal grandmother Mary Eugenia McDonald. Joseph William Selker and Frances Philomena Guth are the common grandparents that link the cousins.
