The Paternal minor lines are an exception to what is noted above. In this case, these two lines are listed as there are only four known names currently known in the Paternal lines Bukowski and Murosky as discussed in separate posts and the two surnames listed below.

Rösch
The Rösch line begins with my 4th great grandmother Theresia Rösch born 1801 in Untersimonwald, Margraviate of Baden, Holy Roman Empire. The oldest currently known individual in the Rösch Line is Theresia's father Johann Rösch , my 5th great grandfather.
The Cunningham lineage is suspect. Mathias Cunningham was a widower on the 1850 Census of Louisville KY, with two sons Thomas and George, each from prior marriages back in Pittsburg, PA where Mathias was born c1812. Mathias then married an Ellen GRAHAM c1851/2 in Louisville. Later censuses in Louisville Ellen's date and place of birth is shown as 1827 in Ireland. Mathias died in 1875 and Ellen in 1909 and had eight children, none of whom was named Ellen.
ReplyDeleteThe Cunningham lineage is suspect. My Mathias Cunningham was born in Pittsburg, PA in 1812 and his 3rd wife Ellen Graham was born 1827 in Ireland. Mathias was a two time widower on the 1850 Louisville, KY census with two sons from his prior wives.

DeleteThe Mathias Cunningham mentioned above is my 4th great grandfather. He was born about 1818 in Ireland. His arrival is around June of 1869 based on his Citizenship Application. Mathias is recorded in the 1870 United States Federal Census with his wife Margaret and his children. His Naturalization record is dated 1871 at the Court of Common Pleas in the Clarion County, Pennsylvania.

Mathias was a widower on the 1850 Louisville, KY 1850 census, having lost two previous wives by whom he had a son from each. He then married Ellen Graham c1851 and had 8 more children by her from 1852-1870 where they are all enumerated on the
ReplyDelete1860, 1870 and 1880 census of Louisville. He was an iron moulder as was his son Thomas Cunningham who returned to Pittsburg where he lived the rest of his life.
